The Brief

DT Services Ltd are a local company offering automatic entrance solutions to the industrial and commercial sectors, including: automatic doors, loading bays, fire doors, shop fronts and parking barriers.

DT Services has had a website for some time, but decided that it was time to freshen things up and approach their target market in a different way. Although they already ranked for some search terms, they were not appearing high enough for their most desired keywords. They were particularly keen to rank higher for more local searches. Ultimately, this will bring in more site visitors and increase sales.

The company also underwent a minor rebranding, and changed their URL.

The Work

With a plan in place to improve the site structure and optimise for local keyword searches, work on the site build began and was completed quickly. Implementing 301 redirects from the old site was very important in order to preserve any existing SEO. This was done carefully and thoroughly tested to ensure that all pages redirected to a new location.

Ongoing SEO work was then started. This has involved a process to:

  • Include the website on all relevant directories, including Google My Business, to increase exposure.
  • Create quality content to increase the domain authority and topical relevance.
  • Analyse visitor behaviour to make performance enhancements.

The Results

With the new site launched, SEO work began immediately. Within a couple of months, rankings on the targeted local keywords started to increase. The increased rankings have led to a large increase in site visitors of almost 800%, as well as large orders coming in from new customers.

The company are delighted with their new website and SEO strategy.
